Communities
Built rooms where people shipped real things.
Two stints in community work — first as GDSC chapter Lead on campus, then 2× Google Cloud Arcade Facilitator with GDG Cloud Bangalore. Active member of both GDG Bangalore and GDG Cloud Bangalore. Different programs, same instinct: pick a thesis, gather the right people, make small bets in public, keep what compounds.

Two programs. One muscle.
Before the brand work, I ran a campus GDSC chapter for a year, then moved into Bengaluru's professional Google Developer Groups — GDG Bangalore and GDG Cloud Bangalore — where I ran Google Cloud's Arcade cohorts twice. Same job in different clothes: programming a calendar of useful things, capturing what shipped, giving credit, and turning that into momentum.
How I ran both.
Weekly cadence
Same time, same place, every week. Reliability did most of the work — people built routines around the chapter and the cohort.
Public artifacts
Every workshop ended with a thing people could point at. Visibility attracted the next wave of members and builders.
Builders over attendees
Programming favored doing over watching. The room came to ship, not to sit through slides.
Two stints. Two stories.
Chapter Lead, 2022–23
Took a campus chapter from a Discord logo to a 400+ member community with weekly hack jams, a speaker series, and a year-end demo day that turned three projects into job offers.

Selected twice as a Google Cloud Arcade Facilitator with GDG Cloud Bangalore. Ran cohort workshops, weekly office hours, and 9 talks at GDG Bangalore + GDG Cloud Bangalore meetups across both cohorts.

Programming a community calendar is programming a content cadence. Same hypothesis-test-learn loop. The instinct I built in these rooms is the same one I bring to every brand bet today.
What I learned here showed up in every brand bet afterThis was strategy in a hoodie.
Programming a calendar = programming content
Same hypothesis-test-learn loop. Same compounding effect when you stay consistent. Different distribution channel.
Credit is free, share it
Every workshop name-dropped the people who built things that week. Cheapest way to make a community feel like home.
